The Dakota Flesher soft steel blade is good for a beginning flesher. A softer blade of 38 Rockwell hardness and a thickness of .118. Also responds faster to tuning steels for sharpening and re-positioning. It is important to remember when re-sharpening blades that light pressure be applied. Heavy pressure on the lip will quickly destroy the blade.
